Upon signing of the offer letter, it is then understood that the compensation was mutually acceptable. We ask every new hire to take the time to review the offer letter to be sure it is acceptable. We do want to mention, that during the interview process, and upon presenting a formal offer letter, we discuss and agreed upon compensation best suited for this position. But the structure in which someone is hired does not make them outsourced. At Beholder, we do not outsource our work… it is performed by our team, with the exception of extras such as make-up artists, talent, etc. That is dependent upon the mutual agreement between that person and Beholder.

We have both employees and contractors working at Beholder. In regards to freelancers, please allow us to clarify. Interrupting their process would usurp their authority which would lead to conflicts, confusion, as well as decreased productivity. We have management in place to assist with the day to day functions. Having served both corporate and broadcast clients, we shared with the team that the hours vary based on the deadlines and due dates. We want every staff member to share the same excitement we have with our growth and are sorry that you could not find a career at Beholder. Since having worked with Beholder, we hope that you have found a position that you were looking for and are happy with.Īs with any company, we have certainly experienced growing pains and made room for adjustments in the marketplace with the clients we serve and our processes to become more efficient and productive. Nobody deserves to be manipulated like that ever. The CEO regularly turned his employees against each other, and made them work well into the wee hours of the morning to finish important projects without extra pay. The only thing I felt after leaving that job, besides relief, was pity for the people who were still employed there. I don't know the details, but I do know that Beholder Productions should no longer be in business. I later heard that they got into legal trouble for not properly compensating their employees. Leaving that job was one of the biggest weights off my shoulders. I should have seen the fact that in the company's ten year history they had moved maybe seven times, as a sign they were unreliable and irresponsible. I should have recognized the extremely high employee turnover rate as a warning sign. Here's a tip: if a boss doesn't have time for you, that's a sign of a REALLY BAD BOSS. Well, the full time work came, but I was still only paid for the three days a week I had originally been asked to work, no overtime pay, no compensation, nothing. After college, I was hired as a freelancer three days a week (even though I had been told they never hire freelancers), with the promise of full time work after a few weeks. I don't even know where to start with this one - there were so many red flags that I should have seen, but I was hired here as an unpaid intern to fulfil a college requirement, so I was still really naïve. Performance and productivity are expected within every department especially in an aggressive department such as sales/ business development. If you were not comfortable with the offer that was presented, prior to signing would have been the ideal time to negotiate and discuss your concerns. We expect our sales staff to be hunters and gatherers, not simply customer service reps. At the time, it was negotiated that every sales person would develop their own sales leads. Since we do consultative sales, it requires conversations and discovery sessions, not pitch presentations.
